The How

I had been attending a monthly Bible Study for more than four years now.

We started with the Purpose Driven Life.  Then we move on to First Thessalonian, Romans, First Timothy and now into Matthew.

I learn a lesson yesterday which I had been learning in every Bible Study.

It is on How to study the Bible (methodology).  It is much more important than the What we learn from the study.

Sooner or later we will forget about the lessons.  I know I do (wait, what did I learn yesterday?).  But to know how to find the answers, how to read the Bible in its context, and then translate to application is far more important. (Plus, we had a lot of laughs along the way...)

Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.

WhatHow about teaching a man how to maintain the stock of fish for future generations?
