6 Many will say they are loyal friends,
but who can find one who is truly reliable?
Can I become the loyal friend who is reliable?
7 The godly walk with integrity;
blessed are their children who follow them.
Can I live the rest of my life to walk only integrity. This is in sacrifice of tangible and material goods?
10 False weights and unequal measures[a]—
the Lord detests double standards of every kind.
Where are the double standards in my life? How do I go about them? Am I aware of them?
22 Don’t say, “I will get even for this wrong.”
Wait for the Lord to handle the matter.
Can I keep myself in control when I have an urge to seek vengeance? Can I walk away and leave it up to God?
24 The Lord directs our steps,
so why try to understand everything along the way?
Is going to Mac Div and not planning the next few years a way to rely on God? What's the difference between unpreparedness and having faith? Have I spent more time trying to understand than just relying on Him?
27 The Lord’s light penetrates the human spirit,[c]
exposing every hidden motive.
Lord, can you shine brightly into my spirit? Shine through me and show me every hidden motive that is lying around.
30 Physical punishment cleanses away evil;[d]
such discipline purifies the heart.
[I know I am taking this out of context] As a triathlete, this verse just hit home :)
